Black holes are formed through a process known as gravitational collapse. When a massive star runs out of nuclear fuel, it undergoes a catastrophic event called a supernova explosion. The outer layers of the star are expelled into space, while the core collapses under its own gravity.
Supermassive black holes are thought to exist at the centers of most galaxies, including our own Milky Way
Our sun is a star!
The sun is 'middle aged' at around 4.6 billion years old. It will continue to undergo stellar evolution and eventually turn into a cold, dark object - but has about 5 billion years left before that happens.
Galaxy Merging: The Milky Way, our home galaxy, will collide with the Andromeda Galaxy in about 4 to 5 billion years. However, the spaces between individual stars and planets are so immense that the likelihood of collisions is extremely low.
The universe is 95% dark matter and dark energy !! Everything we can see and study makes up only 5%
This means we do not know what 95% of the universe is
